Job summary

The Accountancy Partnership in Birkenhead is seeking an experienced Semi Senior Accountant to join our team. You will handle accounts and tax returns for a range of clients, with a minimal amount of bookkeeping and VAT returns.

In this role you will manage a diverse portfolio, conduct client meetings and correspondence. Payroll and sales work are handled by other departments within the company, fostering focus on core accounting tasks.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience within practice accounting.
• 2+ years in a practice environment with accounts/tax experience.
• Relevant accounting qualifications or higher education completed.

Responsibilities

• Complete accounts and tax returns for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Complete a minimal amount of bookkeeping.
• Prepare VAT returns.
• Manage a portfolio of clients across diverse industries.
• Conduct client meetings and correspond with clients.

• Completion of accounts and tax returns for mainly limited companies, but sole traders and partnerships also.
• A minimal amount of bookkeeping
• VAT Returns
• Managing a set portfolio of clients from a wide variety of industries.
• Client meetings and correspondence
• No payroll, sales or admin work is required as this is handled by other departments within the company.

The candidate must have:

• At least 2 years’ experience within practice accounting
• Level 4 AAT or higher, or finance degree or similar
