Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. in Stockport is seeking a SEMH Tutor to teach Maths and English to students who cannot attend traditional education settings.

The role is 1:1 and focuses on students with social, emotional and mental health needs, including emotional based school refusal. The position is long-term to provide consistency and progress, with sessions of one to five hours per day depending on student needs.

Qualifications

• A teaching qualification.
• Experience of working with students with EHCPs.
• Ability to plan and deliver Maths and English sessions.

£30 per hour (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)

The Role

Vision for Education are looking for a SEMH Tutor who can teach Maths & English to students unable to attend education in Stockport. The desired SEMH Tutor will be working 1:1 with students with social emotional and mental health needs and emotional based school refusal. The Tutor role is long term to provide consistency for students and work towards breaking down barriers to learning. Sessions can be one - five hours per day (during or after school hours) depending on the student's needs.

Requirements

The desired SEMH Tutor will have:

• A teaching qualification
• Experience of working with students with EHCPs
• An ability to plan and deliver Maths and English sessions
• A passion for making a difference to the lives of young people
