TeacherActive Limited is seeking an SEMH Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEND setting in Walsall. The role is temporary/long-term with an immediate start, paying £95-£115 per day via PAYE.

The successful candidate will provide individual and classroom support, help pupils engage with learning, manage behaviour positively and work closely with teaching staff to build pupils' confidence and independence.

Formación

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND setting in Walsall supporting pupils of mixed ages with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The setting provides a structured and supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to build confidence, develop positive relationships and overcome barriers to learning.

The setting is looking to appoint an SEMH Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will provide individual and classroom support, manage behaviour positively and work closely with teaching staff to help pupils engage with learning and develop their confidence and independence.

The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs
• Confidence working with pupils across different ages
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• The ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
