Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in a secondary school setting in Bushey, Hertfordshire.

You will work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, during term time, providing in-class and additional support to help students engage with education and manage emotions. DBS required or willingness to apply, with refund eligibility after 20 days' work.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students who have SEMH or additional needs.
• Be patient, compassionate and confident in managing challenging behaviour.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, term-time only.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEMH needs in and outside the classroom.
• Help students engage with their learning and manage emotions.
• Assist in developing positive relationships between students and staff.
• Support behavioural management and create a supportive classroom environment.
