Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant in Bushey, Hertfordshire to support students with SEMH needs both inside and outside the classroom. You will help learners engage with education, manage emotions and develop positive relationships with peers and staff.

The role is full-time during term-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm. A current DBS Update Service registration (or willingness to apply) and two years of referenced work are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEMH or additional needs.
• Patience, resilience and confidence in managing challenging behaviour.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Available to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, term-time only.
• References covering the last two years.

SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Bushey, Hertfordshire

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

Contract: Term-time only

We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant.

The successful candidate will work with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing support both in and outside the classroom. You will play an important role in helping students to engage with their education, manage their emotions and develop positive relationships.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working with young people, particularly those with SEMH or additional needs.
• Be patient, compassionate, resilient and confident in managing challenging behaviour.
• Be able to build positive and trusting relationships with students and staff.
• Be available to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, term-time only.
• Be able to provide references covering the last two years.

Compliance requirements:

Applicants must hold a Child Workforce Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
