Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEMH, SEND or specialist settings.
• Good understanding of ADHD and autism.
• Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour.
• Patient, empathetic and consistent approach.
• Resilience and confidence to handle challenging situations professionally.
• Genuine passion for helping young people succeed.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside teachers to help deliver engaging and excellent education.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students and encourage their confidence and self-esteem.
• Support students with challenging behaviour using calm, consistent and positive approaches.
• Help students develop their social, emotional and communication skills.
• Encourage positive engagement with learning and support students to reach their potential.
• Contribute to a safe, nurturing and inclusive school environment.
