Job summary

Aspire People Limited is seeking a patient, resilient Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs in a primary school in Dunstable. You will work Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, helping learners engage with learning and participate in school activities.

Ideally you will have experience in SEMH, SEN, youth work, care or similar settings and possess a genuine commitment to helping children overcome barriers to learning, develop academically and personally, with safeguarding checks in

Primary SEMH Teaching Assistant - Dunstable

Location: Dunstable, Bedfordshire

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Contract: Full-time

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a patient, resilient and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a primary school supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in the Dunstable area.

This role would suit someone who genuinely wants to work within an SEMH setting and is committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning and develop both academically and personally.

The Role

• Supporting pupils within the classroom and throughout the school day.
• Helping children to engage with learning and school activities.
• Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour.
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and appropriate boundaries.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience working within an SEMH, SEN, education, youth work, care or similar setting is desirable but not essential.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
