Job summary

Milk Education in Leeds is seeking an EMH teaching assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs in a friendly primary school setting. You will provide tailored support to help children engage with learning and feel secure in class.

You will deliver 1:1 and small group support, assist in emotional regulation, and contribute to positive behaviour strategies while collaborating with teachers to monitor progress and ensure consistency.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A calm, patient and empathetic approach to challenging situations.
• Ability to work effectively under the guidance of teachers and support teams.

The class has around 6 children in all with SEMH needs.
