Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 6-16 in Redruth. You will work closely with students with social, emotional and mental health needs, providing encouragement and positive relationships to help them thrive.

The role involves one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills, both inside and outside the classroom, including educational visits.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with special educational needs and/or SEMH is desirable.
• Ability to build positive relationships and support development.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning and development, one-to-one or in small groups.
• Build positive relationships and encourage confidence, independence and social skills.
• Assist with activities inside and outside the classroom and on educational visits.
• Work as part of a supportive school team and adapt to varied days.
