Job summary

Integra Education (North) LTD is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support children with SEMH and SEND in Warrington. This full-time, temporary role starts in September and runs term-time only. The role involves mentoring pupils, supporting lessons, reporting progress, and supervising during breaks and trips.

You'll work with a friendly team and receive dedicated consultant support, with weekly or monthly pay options. DBS check is required/enhanced. />

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or equivalent, with a strong basic education.
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in an educational setting.
• Experience with SEMH or SEND needs and behaviour management.
• Willing to take additional responsibilities in school areas (e.g., Food Hygiene, Forest School).
• Committed to professional development and learning.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support one pupil or small groups throughout lessons.
• Assist classroom teacher during lessons and prepare materials.
• Report progress and concerns to staff and help meet pupils' needs.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, trips and activities.
• Help with lesson planning, setting work, and marking when appropriate.
• Foster positive relationships and promote active learning outcomes.

Full-time | Temporary | £110 per day (UMB)

Integra Education (North) LTD are currently recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team in Warrington. This role involves supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, complex behaviours and special educational needs (SEND).

Role Responsibilities

• Dedicated to mentoring and supporting one pupil or else a small groups
• Supporting the classroom teacher during lessons
• Reporting on pupils' progress and concerns and liaising with other school staff to ensure pupils' needs are met
• Supervision of pupils during non-classroom time including extra-curricular activities and school trips
• Assisting with lesson planning and classroom preparation
• Setting work where appropriate and marking
• Building positive relationships with your pupils and driving interaction and positive learning outcomes

Requirements

• Have a strong basic education, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics and sound IT skills
• Previous experience in a similar role as a Teaching Assistant
• Previous experience of working with pupils with SEMH or SEND within an educational setting
• Be experienced and confident enough to take additional responsibility in an area of school, e.g Food Hygiene, Forest School, lunchtimes etc.
• Experience of behaviour management and techniques
• Committed to professional development and willing to learn
• Enhanced DBS or willing to apply
• Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification is desired but not essential.
