Job summary

Randstad Education in Frome is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils who face SEMH, ASC, or attachment challenges. You will provide 1:1 and small group support within a nurturing classroom setting and help pupils build confidence and resilience.

You will work closely with teachers, Thrive and therapy teams to implement trauma-informed strategies and monitor progress while maintaining a calm, patient, and proactive approach throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Strong passion for working with children or young people with SEMH, ASC, or neurodivergent needs.
• Experience in schools, care, or community settings is desirable.
• A trauma-informed mindset characterised by a non-judgemental, patient, and empathetic approach.
• Excellent resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to engage in specialist training.

• Competitive Pay: £92.56 - £95.00 per day.
