Vision for Education are recruiting for an SEMH Teaching Assistant for specialised settings in Swansea and surrounding areas.

About The Role

Do you have a talent for building relationships and breaking down barriers to learning? Are you looking for a new opportunity?

We have vacancies supporting children to manage their behaviour both in and out of the classroom.

We are looking for an individual passionate about creating engaging ways to support students with SEMH needs exhibiting challenging behaviours.

You will support pupils using behaviour management skills to overcome barriers to learning.

Pupils are primary age with EHCPs for SEMH and associated needs such as Autism or ADHD.

About The Schools

The schools offer a broad curriculum tailored to children's needs, including vocational learning.

Lessons are in small groups, focusing on emotional, social, behavioural, or academic progress.

There are opportunities for the role to become permanent after a qualifying period.

Requirements

• Confidence in behaviour management to de-escalate threatening or aggressive behaviour.
• Ability to mentor and deliver educational packages to students.
• Resilience, empathy, patience, and professionalism.
• Experience with SEMH children is desirable.
