The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos. We are a Restorative Practice, Autism Friendly and a Rights Respecting School and we are looking for an outstanding individual who is looking to progress within the Teaching Assistant role to lead a small group provision for pupils with ALN.

The post will be temporary in the first instance to commence in July 2025 or as soon as possible after.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an excellent practitioner with high expectations of providing specialist support and be fully committed to the inclusion of pupils with Additional Learning needs.
  • Be absolutely committed to developing children's learning in order to meet the individualised needs of learning with ALN, to give our children the very best opportunities in life.
  • Have high expectations both for children and themselves.
  • Be an excellent communicator, able to inspire, enthuse and motivate others.
  • Have effective ICT skills and can use digital technology to enhance learning.
  • Have an up to date knowledge of the new ALN Code of practice.
  • Have a desire to evaluate the impact of the provision on an ongoing basis in order to improve and enhance opportunities for learning and inclusion for identified pupils and improve provision as a whole under the guidance of the ALNCo
  • Have a flexible approach to the school day and how the unpredictability of pupils who have Social and Communication Difficulties may impact the provision from day to day and use their initiative and knowledge to adjust the provision, and approach to pupils accordingly.
