Vision for Education is recruiting SEMH Teaching Assistants for specialised settings in Llanelli and surrounding areas.

About The Role

Do you have a talent for building relationships and breaking down barriers to learning? Are you looking for a new opportunity?

We have vacancies supporting children to manage their behaviour both in and out of the classroom. We seek individuals passionate about creating engaging ways to support students with SEMH needs who exhibit challenging behaviours. You will use behaviour management skills to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.

The pupils are primary-aged with EHCPs for SEMH and related needs such as Autism or ADHD.

About The Schools

The schools offer a broad curriculum tailored to children's needs, including vocational learning. Lessons are in small groups, focusing on emotional, social, behavioural, or academic progress. The role may lead to a permanent position after a qualifying period.

Requirements

• Confidence in behaviour management to de-escalate threatening or aggressive behaviour.
• Ability to mentor and deliver educational packages tailored to students.
• Resilience, empathy, patience, and professionalism.
• Experience working with SEMH children is desirable.
