Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a Lewisham school, supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs. You will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging education in a calm, supportive environment.

We need patient, resilient individuals who can build positive relationships, support students with challenging behaviour, and help develop their social, emotional and communication skills so every learner can reach their potential

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEMH, SEND or specialist setting.
  • Good understanding of ADHD and Autism.
  • Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour.
  • Patient, empathetic and consistent approach.
  • Resilience and confidence to manage challenging situations professionally.
  • Genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
  • Experience or knowledge of construction would be highly advantageous for practical/vocational learning.

We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a school in Lewisham, supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs.

The Role

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
