Remedy Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a school in South East London from September.

The school supports pupils who may present with social, emotional and mental health needs, challenging behaviour, anxiety, low confidence or barriers to learning. This role would suit a candidate who is patient, firm but fair, and passionate about helping young people make progress.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
• Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour choices.
• Helping pupils access lessons and stay focused throughout the day.
• Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Supporting positive behaviour plans and personalised strategies.
• Working with teachers and pastoral teams to support pupil wellbeing.
• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, resilience and independence.
