The School and Role

This small SEMH (Social Emotional and Mental Health needs) School in Leeds is looking to appoint a passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to work with pupils aged 5-11 on a full-time basis. The role involves working with pupils on their education and behavioral needs, primarily in small groups across KS1 and KS2. Team Teach training can be provided for the right candidate. The school supports career progression and this long-term role could become permanent.

Requirements
  • A passion for working with children with additional needs.
  • Experience working with children and young adults with challenging behavior.
  • Understanding of how to support children with SEMH while focusing on educational and behavioral needs.
  • A commitment to the progress of children with SEMH needs.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
