Principal Resourcing are seeking a friendly and engaging Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis at one of our Primary Schools based in Leeds , supporting interventions and learning outside the mainstream classroom. Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN would be advantageous. You will predominantly work in upper KS2 with SEND pupils and must be flexible in your approach to meet the needs of children, using your initiative to problem solve and engage pupils in learning. The full-time position is available with immediate start and will provide cover for one academic year.

Children are eager to learn and enjoy the ambitious curriculum, developing confidence and a deeper subject knowledge through personalised care and support.

We offer competitive rates of pay up to £100 per day depending on experience.

Your role as a 1:1 TA:

• Support the Teacher to engage students in learning & build confidence.
• Adapt to the diverse needs of SEN students within your care.
• Maintain strong classroom management & promote high standards for learning.
• Support students to positively progress, through suitable intervention.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a positive and child-centred staff team.

We are seeking applicants with:

• A full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting SEND pupil progression.
• Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
• An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
• Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
