A specialist SEMH school in Hereford is seeking a confident and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September on a long-term basis. This is a part-time role working afternoons only, Monday to Friday, with the school also open to candidates looking to work 3 or 4 afternoons per week.
This role is ideal for an experienced teacher who has previously worked with pupils with complex SEMH needs and can confidently manage challenging behaviour while creating a calm, consistent, and nurturing learning environment.
The Year 6 class consists of 8 pupils with a range of additional and complex needs, with classroom support staff also based within the class. The successful candidate will work closely with the support team to plan and deliver engaging learning, adapt teaching to meet individual needs, and support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality lessons, maintaining positive relationships with pupils, and working collaboratively with the wider school team to ensure pupils feel safe, supported, and able to achieve their potential.
This Year 6 Teacher position is based in Hereford and is easily commutable from surrounding areas such as Worcester, Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye, Malvern, and Leominster. The school offers good transport links and on-site parking.
