Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking an SEMH Teacher for a full-time, long-term role in Tewkesbury, starting immediately. You will deliver engaging lessons and manage classroom behaviour while supporting students aged 11-19 with SEMH and SEND needs.

The ideal candidate holds QTS (ECTs welcome) and has strong classroom management skills, with the ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs. A patient, resilient approach and excellent communication are essential.

Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Tewkesbury
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £170 - £190 per day

Are you a qualified Teacher with strong classroom management skills?

Can you create an engaging and supportive learning environment for students aged 11-19?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary SEMH provision based in Tewkesbury. The provision supports students aged 11-19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs, alongside students with additional SEND needs, providing a supportive environment in which young people can engage with their education.

The provision is looking to take on an SEMH Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful SEMH Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, managing classroom behaviour effectively and adapting their teaching to meet the individual educational and emotional needs of students.

The successful SEMH Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience teaching or supporting students with SEMH and SEND needs
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
• A patient and resilient approach
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
