Remedy Education is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant in Chelmsford to join a well-resourced SEN school. The role covers primary and secondary settings in a specialist provision, with 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN, ASD, ADHD and complex needs.

You will work closely with teachers and external professionals to implement EHCP targets, support communication and emotional regulation, and help create a calm, structured learning environment while encouraging independence and confidence.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach.
  • Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups.
  • Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.
  • Willing to support personal care where needed.
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN schools in Chelsmford that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible. This person will work in small groups or 1:1 with children who have a range of needs.
