Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Learning & Behaviour Support Assistant for the Portsmouth Area. You will support children and young people with SEMH needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and build confidence within a collaborative team of staff.

The role involves advising on strategies, delivering high-quality teaching and developing plans to meet individual needs. UK experience and safeguarding training are preferred; Right to Work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
• Experience working in UK schools or equivalent educational settings.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training within last year is desirable, training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school leaders and staff to promote positive behaviour and inclusive practices.
• Deliver high-quality teaching and support, build positive relationships with pupils.
• Assist schools in developing plans to meet individual pupil needs.
