Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. seeks a full-time Support Assistant to work with children aged 4 to 19. You will collaborate with the learning mentor and class teacher to ensure targeted support, promote independence and social inclusion, and plan resources for lessons.

DBS checks and safeguarding are integral, with a focus on delivery under supervision. The role emphasises teamwork within a close-knit school community, with opportunities for professional development and a permanent position

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 in supporting teaching and learning in schools.
• Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with children, preferably SEN, and ability to plan lessons with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Work with the class teacher to ensure students receive the required support.
• Plan and source resources to aid learning and independence.
• Teach material to students individually or in groups under supervision.
