TeacherActive Limited is recruiting for an experienced SEMH Class Teacher in a therapeutic education setting based in Bottesford. The role focuses on delivering STEM lessons while managing challenging behaviours and applying therapeutic approaches to support learning.

The position is full-time, temporary to permanent with an immediate start, and requires QTS/QTLS or relevant teaching qualifications; a driving licence is essential and experience with SEMH is essential.

Qualifikationen

• QTS, QTLS or a relevant teaching qualification (desirable)
• Proven experience supporting young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours (essential)
• Strong behaviour management experience with de-escalation skills
• Confidence delivering STEM subjects and adapting lessons to learners
• Full UK driving licence and ability to drive (essential)
• Patient, resilient and adaptable with excellent communication to support vulnerable young people

Aufgaben

• Deliver engaging STEM lessons to SEMH students
• Implement therapeutic approaches and adapt teaching strategies
• Manage challenging behaviours to maintain a positive learning environment
• Build positive relationships and support student engagement and progress
• Collaborate with the team to ensure structured, nurturing learning
• Contribute to safeguarding and safeguarding compliance where required
