Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a passionate Qualified SEMH Teacher to join a specialist secondary school in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. You will deliver engaging lessons, support SEMH pupils, and create a safe classroom environment.

The role requires QTS, experience with KS3/KS4 and trauma-informed approaches; you will collaborate with teaching assistants and pastoral teams to support students’ progress and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching secondary-aged pupils.
• Experience with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3/KS4, adapting as needed.
• Teach and support pupils with SEMH needs.
• Create a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment.
• Apply trauma-informed approaches and positive behaviour strategies.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with TAs, pastoral teams and other professionals.
