Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a Learning Facilitator – Specialist Education in Chippenham, Wiltshire. The role focuses on pupils with SEMH needs, ASC, ADHD and SLCN in specialist settings, with flexible day-to-day and longer-term placements.

You’ll support emotional wellbeing, communication and life skills, working closely with teachers and care staff. Competitive PAYE rates (£106–£130/day) and ongoing CPD opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting SEMH or other additional needs.
• Experience with autism, ADHD or communication needs.
• A calm, patient and emotionally consistent approach.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt your approach to individual pupils.
• Resilience and willingness to learn about SEMH.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEMH needs to engage positively with education.
• Building trusting, consistent and positive relationships with young people.
• Supporting pupils who may have experienced adverse childhood experiences or significant barriers to learning.
• Supporting pupils with ASC, ADHD and speech, language and communication needs.
• Helping pupils develop emotional regulation and positive coping strategies.
