Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking an SEMH & SEND Teacher to support pupils across specialist education settings in Dursley and surrounding areas. The role involves creating a calm, structured learning environment and differentiating lessons to meet individual needs.

You will work with pupils with SEMH, ASC, and related challenges, helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally. Flexible, supply-based opportunities are available across Bristol and nearby areas.

Qualifications

• QTS or recognised UK teaching status is required.
• Experience or interest in supporting SEMH needs.
• Experience with pupils with Autism Spectrum Conditions is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Support pupils with SEMH needs.
• Teach pupils with ASC and communication needs.
• Adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress.
• Work with Teaching Assistants and pastoral teams.
• Follow individual education, behaviour and support plans.
• Communicate with colleagues and other professionals involved in pupil support.
