Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking an experienced SEND/SEMH Teacher to lead our dedicated 'Hive' class in Barnoldswick. This permanent role requires extensive experience with complex SEMH needs, managing behaviours, and differentiating learning for varied developmental stages.

The ideal candidate will have QTS or equivalent UK curriculum knowledge, ensure a calm trauma-informed environment, and lead a small team of support staff to maximise pupil progress.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant proven classroom teaching experience with UK curriculum.
• Extensive experience with SEND, SEMH, ASC, and complex behavioural/emotional barriers.
• Confident in leading a specialist classroom provision and coordinating a team.
• Strong background in trauma-informed practice, nurture, and de-escalation.
• DBS on Update Service or willingness to complete one.

Responsabilités

• Plan, lead and deliver bespoke, differentiated curriculum for complex needs.
• Foster a trauma-informed, low-arousal classroom environment.
• Lead and deploy classroom support staff to maximise pupil progress.
• Implement proactive de-escalation strategies and emotion coaching.
• Monitor and report on EHCP targets and learning plans.
• Collaborate with leadership, pastoral teams and multi-agency professionals.
