Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking an experienced SEND/SEMH Teacher to lead The Hive in Barnoldswick.

The role demands extensive experience with complex needs, trauma-informed practice, and strong team leadership to support pupils with ASC/ADHD within a structured classroom environment. You will plan differentiated lessons, supervise staff, and monitor EHCP targets, contributing to secure, consistent progress in a nurturing setting.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or UK curriculum teaching experience.
• Extensive SEND/SEMH experience with complex behaviours.
• Experience leading a specialist classroom and coordinating support staff.
• Trauma-informed practice and de-escalation skills (PBS, Team-Teach, MAPA/CPI advantageous).
• Calm, empathetic approach with clear boundaries.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).

Aufgaben

• Plan, lead, and deliver bespoke, highly engaging curriculum learning tailored to the complex needs of pupils in The Hive.
• Foster a trauma-informed, low-arousal classroom environment where pupils feel secure and ready to learn.
• Lead and deploy classroom support staff to maximise pupil progress and safety.
• Implement proactive de-escalation strategies, PBS, and emotion coaching to manage dysregulation.
• Monitor, assess, and report on academic and pastoral targets (EHCP reviews).
• Collaborate with school leadership, pastoral teams, and multi-agency professionals.
