Job summary

The Education Specialists (TES) are recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support learners with SEMH and SEN in a Greater Manchester setting. You will work closely with teachers to deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, manage behaviour, and help create a calm, safe learning environment while promoting safeguarding and inclusive practice.

This role is permanent and full-time, with opportunities for professional development and close collaboration across the school safeguarding

Qualifications

  • GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children or young people.
  • Experience supporting SEMH, SEN, or behavioural needs.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships to support emotional, social, and academic development.
  • Support personalised plans including EHCP targets and risk assessments.
  • Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions focused on SEMH and wellbeing.
  • Assist in lesson delivery and monitor student progress.
