Make a real difference every day

Are you a passionate and nurturing Primary Teacher looking for an opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient and committed Primary Teacher to join our specialist Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) school in Ealing.

Our pupils may have experienced barriers to learning and may present with a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs. We believe that every child can succeed when they are provided with the right relationships, support and opportunities to thrive.

The role
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons appropriate to the needs and abilities of pupils.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and understand the individual needs behind their behaviour.
  • Support pupils to develop academically, socially and emotionally.
  • Use a range of creative and practical approaches to engage pupils who may have previously struggled within mainstream education.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, therapists and other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Promote high expectations of behaviour, learning and personal development.
  • Contribute to individual support plans and wider pastoral strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, careers and colleagues.
About you
  • A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent).
  • Experienced in, or passionate about, working with children with SEMH and/or additional needs.
  • Patient, calm, consistent and emotionally resilient.
  • An excellent communicator and relationship builder.
  • Creative and flexible in their approach to teaching and learning.
  • Able to establish clear boundaries while maintaining warm and positive relationships.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children.
  • A reflective practitioner who is keen to learn and develop.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
  • Experience of working in an SEMH, SEN or alternative provision setting would be advantageous, but it is not essential. What matters most is your commitment to helping children who may have found traditional education challenging.
What we can offer
  • A supportive and welcoming school environment.
  • Small classes and opportunities to provide genuinely personalised learning.
  • A committed and experienced multidisciplinary team.
  • High-quality professional development and opportunities for career progression.
  • The opportunity to develop your expertise in SEMH and specialist education.
  • A school culture that prioritises relationships, wellbeing and inclusion.
  • The chance to make a meaningful and lasting difference to pupils' lives.
