We're working closely with a lovely special school based in the Newbury area that is looking for a teacher to join after the Easter holidays. The school cares for a range of special needs & disabilities, with a focus on SEMH & ASD students (aged 4-13).
The school has a supportive staff team who are proud of their important work. Although challenging, the role is highly rewarding. Currently, there are a couple of TAs at the school who are very complimentary about the support they receive.
The role
This is a Year 4 class of 8 SEMH students, supported by 2 permanent TAs familiar with the students. The role offers flexibility: you can choose to lead the class or take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning and marking.
Applicants must have experience working with SEMH students and confidence in managing challenging behaviour. A QTS is preferred but not essential. The school welcomes a range of applications.
