This special school supports students aged 6 years and upwards with various conditions, including Autism, PDA, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. They are seeking a dedicated Primary teacher to join their team.

Your role will involve guiding students through the learning process, fostering their abilities, and boosting their self-esteem.

As an advocate for Special Educational Needs (SEN), you will play a crucial role in ensuring that each child is equipped to thrive and access diverse opportunities within a nurturing and secure environment. Your responsibilities include crafting curriculum-aligned lessons tailored to each student's needs and contributing to the overall daily operations of the school.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide an outstanding learning experience and adapt your delivery to meet individual students' needs.
• Plan, prepare, evaluate, and review learning programs to promote physical, emotional, social, cultural, and moral development.
• Teach both individual pupils and small groups, reviewing lessons, learning styles, and teaching approaches as needed, in accordance with school policy.
• Review curriculum and school activities to support students' development.
• Establish relationships that build confidence, trust, understanding, and mutual respect.
• Be a positive role model in all aspects of your work.

Qualifications:

• Recognized teaching qualification, with experience in Special Educational Needs preferred.
• Profound understanding of ASD and SEMH, with strategies for adapting teaching methods to individual needs.
• Strong organizational skills for effective lesson planning and task management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
• Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with special needs.
