Job summary

Orbital South Colleges Group is seeking an experienced SEMH Practice Lead to provide professional, operational and specialist leadership for SEMH across our college group. You will lead a structured SEMH intervention offer for learners to engage, progress and achieve.

You will champion trauma-informed and relational approaches, guiding staff to promote inclusive practice and effective support strategies across campuses.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people in education or similar settings.
• Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
• Experience improving engagement, attendance and retention.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and relational approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead SEMH intervention provision across the College Group.
• Provide professional and operational leadership for SEMH provision.
• Champion trauma-informed and relational approaches to staff.
• Collaborate with curriculum and support staff to promote inclusive practice.
