Teaching Personnel is recruiting an SEMH Outreach Support Worker for a specialist Secondary PRU in the Salford area. You will work with secondary students in schools and the local community to overcome SEMH barriers and promote engagement in learning.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as travel across the local area is involved. Core duties include delivering targeted outreach, building trusting relationships, supporting attendance and progression, and

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience working with SEMH, behavioural or emotional needs in young people.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Ability to stay calm, patient and resilient in challenging situations.

Responsabilités

• Deliver targeted outreach support to SEMH students.
• Build positive relationships with disengaged learners.
• Support attendance, engagement and participation in learning.
• Conduct home and community-based sessions where appropriate.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral teams, families and external agencies.
• Promote wellbeing, resilience and positive behaviour.
• Monitor progress and maintain records of interventions and outcomes.
• Encourage confidence, independence and life skills.
