Job summary

Cover People are recruiting an enthusiastic SEMH Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join the Outreach Team of a secondary SEMH school in Salford. You’ll work with young people who may need additional support with behaviour, engagement, confidence and accessing education. NB.

Driver required for this role. Based in Eccles, Salford, the role is full-time, Monday to Friday, paying £110–£120 per day DOE. Start date ASAP, with paid PAYE and weekly wages; you will join a dedicated team and have access to

Qualifications

L2 TA qualification or equivalent.
Experience with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
Work with Outreach Team to support pupils in and out of normal classroom settings.
Build positive relationships and encourage engagement with education.
Support pupils displaying challenging behaviour, staying calm and patient.
Help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and independence.
Use positive behaviour strategies to improve engagement and learning.
Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to meet pupil needs.
