Job summary

Shenstone Lodge School in Shenstone, Staffordshire, is seeking a passionate Nurture Teacher to join our dedicated SEMH team. This permanent role combines classroom teaching, nurture provision, and outreach work to transform the lives of children with social, emotional and mental health needs.

You will lead a small nurture environment, deliver engaging learning experiences, and collaborate with families and the onsite/outreach teams.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with a passion for SEMH and inclusion.
• Holds the recognised nurture qualification and has experience of leading nurture groups.
• Understands trauma-informed and nurture-based approaches
• Builds strong, trusting relationships with children and families
• Is calm, flexible, and solution-focused
• Can work effectively across both school and outreach settings

Responsibilities

• Lead a small, supportive nurture environment for pupils with SEMH needs
• Deliver personalised, engaging learning experiences
• Support children’s emotional development alongside academic progress
• Work closely with our existing onsite team and outreach provision, supporting children and their families
• Be part of a highly skilled, compassionate, and collaborative team
