Job summary

Tavistock College, operated by Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust, seeks an SEMH Mentor to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs and help them access lessons and progress. You will work alongside teaching staff, pastoral teams and external agencies to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.

The role emphasises safeguarding, data privacy, and participation in mandatory training at the Trust's Okehampton office; DBS checks are required and

Qualifications

• Support the learning, wellbeing and development of pupils with SEMH needs.
• Help pupils access the curriculum and thrive in school.
• Work with teaching staff, pastoral teams and external agencies.
• Implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Follow Trust policies on data use, including acceptable use, e-safety, social media and the employee code of conduct.
• Keep confidential personal data seen before the first day of employment.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Attend mandatory training week at the Trust's Okehampton central office.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
