Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be working with a Pupil Referral Service in Rochdale to recruit a committed Maths Teacher for a long-term position starting this autumn term. The role focuses on KS3 to KS4 maths, GCSE preparation, and practical numeracy education in an inclusive setting.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, use trauma-informed approaches, manage classrooms effectively and support vulnerable learners with SEMH needs, within a supportive team structure.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS status required.
• Recent experience teaching maths to KS3–KS4, ideally in PRU/SEMH settings.
• Strong GCSE Maths knowledge and Functional Skills awareness.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess maths lessons for KS3–KS4, including GCSE Maths.
• Promote numeracy development and catch-up support for missed learning.
• Deliver practical maths content, including budgeting and real-life numeracy applications.
• Build supportive relationships and use trauma-informed approaches to engage learners.
• Collaborate with pastoral teams to meet individual needs and monitor progress.
