Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a SEMH Learning Support Assistant in Northampton to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Roles include temporary and permanent opportunities; DBS checks, onboarding support, CPD, and progression through the My-Progression channel are offered. Competitive pay and referral incentives are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Have experience supporting young people with additional needs.
• Be confident supporting students with SEMH and challenging behaviour.
• Be patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships.
• Have a genuine passion for supporting young people.
• Be able to work effectively alongside teaching and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with students and in small groups to engage learning.
• Help students manage behaviour and develop confidence and independence.
