Job summary

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist setting in Wakefield supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The SEMH LSA will build positive relationships with pupils and provide consistent support within the learning environment across KS3 and KS4.

The role can be day-to-day or long-term from September, requiring a confident, resilient candidate who can manage behaviour and help pupils stay engaged in their education.

Qualifications

• Team Teach trained candidate with SEMH experience.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs.
• Experience with KS3 and KS4.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Resilient and patient approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist setting in Wakefield supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The setting is looking for a confident and resilient SEMH LSA who can build positive relationships with pupils and provide consistent support within the learning environment.

The school is looking to take on an SEMH LSA for day-to-day or long-term cover from September, working with pupils across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful SEMH LSA will support pupils in the classroom, use effective behaviour management strategies and help young people remain engaged with their education.

The successful SEMH LSA will have:

• Team Teach training
• Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs
• Experience working with pupils across KS3 and KS4
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A resilient and patient approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with young people
