Job summary

Engage Education Berkshire are seeking a SEMH TA to join a warm SEND school. All applicants must hold a valid enhanced DBS check before starting.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, adapt lesson materials for SEMH needs, support teachers and therapists, and help foster positive behaviours. The role offers progression via national pay scales, free CPD, a dedicated consultant, a £50 referral voucher and wellbeing and travel benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated empathy, patience and strong communication when supporting SEMH students.
• Experience in a special needs setting is advantageous.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support, adapting materials to meet SEMH needs.
• Assist teachers with engaging SEMH-focused lessons.
• Implement behaviour management strategies and support social skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and support staff to monitor progress.
