Job summary

Engage Education is seeking an SEMH Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Walthamstow. You will support children with SEMH needs in 1:1 and small groups, adapting materials and strategies to meet diverse needs.

You will assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and help implement effective behaviour management while collaborating with therapists and support staff to track progress.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting SEMH students.
• DBS check or willingness to obtain enhanced DBS prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 and in small groups with SEMH students.
• Assist teachers with delivering engaging lessons tailored for SEMH support.
• Implement proven behaviour management techniques.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and support staff to monitor progress.
