Job summary

Engage Education Ltd in Littlehampton is seeking a dedicated Behavioural 1-1 SEMH Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with emotional and social needs, helping them feel safe, valued, and capable of progress.

Training will be provided. The role requires patience, warmth, and consistency to help young people manage emotions, build healthy relationships, and gain practical skills for adulthood; a full UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with emotional and social needs.
• Ability to manage behaviour with calmness and consistency.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH to manage emotions and build skills.
• Work with staff to create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils to gain practical skills for adulthood.
• Participate in training and DBS checks as required.
