Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a SEND Learning Support Assistant for a specialist all-through school in South Gloucestershire. The role is full-time on a long-term temporary basis from September, supporting pupils with SEMH needs and working alongside teaching staff to promote engagement and access to learning.

Candidate must have SEMH experience, a driving licence with vehicle access, strong behaviour management, and a patient, resilient approach. Team Teach is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs.
• Team Teach training desirable.
• A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
• Excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• A patient, resilient and proactive approach to supporting learners.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the school and work closely with teaching staff.
• Encourage engagement and help learners access learning in a safe environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and supportive classroom routines.
• Contribute to a collaborative wider staff team to sustain progress.
