Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a SEND school in Tunbridge Wells. You will work long-term, supporting children both 1-1 and within the classroom, including personal care and managing challenging behaviour. The role involves close collaboration with pupils on individual learning tasks.

Experience with SEND, ASD and SEMH is essential, with confidence to support behaviour and run learning activities tailored to each pupil's needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Experience supporting children with ASD and SEMH needs.
• Confidence supporting challenging behaviour.
• Experience working 1-1 with children on individual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support children 1-1 and in the wider classroom on learning tasks.
• Provide personal care and assist with behaviour management as needed.
