Job summary

Randstad Education seeks an experienced Teaching Assistant for an SEMH school in Handcross. Role involves personal care, trauma-informed support, and working with SEMH students on a temporary-to-permanent basis after a 12-week probation.

Working hours are 8:40-3:55, Monday to Friday, with a requirement to drive to the campus due to its remote location. DBS update service and resilience in caring for vulnerable children are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide personal care for ages 5-16.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to obtain.
• Transferable skills from care, social care, education, fostering or similar.
• Driving licence and access to a car due to remote campus.
• Trauma-informed approach to teaching and supporting SEMH students.
• Proven experience with SEMH students.
• Emotional resilience and unwavering care for vulnerable children.
• Applicants reliant on sponsorship or VISA will not be considered.
