Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a SEND & SEMH Learning Support Assistant for a Tower Hamlets primary school. The role is full-time with ASAP start, supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH, delivering 1:1 and small-group support, and helping pupils engage with learning.

The position offers a daily rate of £119.24, with dedicated consultant support and potential for ongoing work and progression within a wide range of primary school opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND and/or SEMH.
• Strong understanding of behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Patient, nurturing and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in a primary school setting is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
• Support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Assist with emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and the support team.
• Help pupils engage with learning and school life.

Tower Hamlets £199.24 per day Full-Time ASAP Start

TeacherActive are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEND & SEMH Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a fantastic primary school in Tower Hamlets.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with SEND, SEMH and additional needs, helping pupils build confidence, manage their emotions and achieve their full potential.

The Role:

• Full-time, Monday Friday

• Supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support

• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour

• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and the wider support team

• Helping pupils engage positively with learning and school life

We re Looking For

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND and/or SEMH

• Strong understanding of behaviour and emotional regulation

• A patient, nurturing and resilient approach

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Experience working within a primary school setting is desirable

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
