Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Bristol is seeking a Behaviour & Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs. The role is full-time (term-time options) with immediate/september starts, offering daily pay rates of £92–£105 and long-term placement potential.

You will work 1:1 or in small groups, helping pupils engage with learning, regulate emotions and follow routines while collaborating with teachers and pastoral teams.

Qualifications

  • This role requires experience with young people, behaviour or additional needs.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport while maintaining boundaries.
  • Experience supporting SEMH needs in educational settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils.
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs and associated behaviours.
  • Help pupils engage with learning and daily routines.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with young people.
  • Support emotional regulation and behaviour strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, behaviour leads and pastoral teams.
  • Promote a consistent, structured learning environment.
