Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group in London is seeking a SEMH Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor for a Southwark-based SEMH school. The role is full-time, immediate start, and pays £100-£120 per day depending on experience.

You will support pupils aged 11-16 with SEMH, assist in implementing behaviour plans, and work with teachers and therapists to promote emotional wellbeing and engagement in learning within a specialist setting.

Qualifications

• SEMH Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor - Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs required.
• SEMH Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor - Experience working in a SEMH school, PRU or alternative provision desirable.
• SEMH Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor - Must be confident with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils aged 11-16 with SEMH needs in small groups and 1:1.
• Implement behaviour support plans and de-escalation strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to promote emotional wellbeing.
